MarketAxess is the preeminent global online trading platform. They understood that the fintech industry was rapidly changing and they needed their brand to evolve with it. We worked together to uncover their core values and update their identity to reflect them.
The "Open X" logomark represents the three key pillars of the MarketAxess brand: transparent interaction between buyers and sellers, digital speed, and an open network.
The overall brand design is modern and austere, representing the digital convenience of the platform and the gravitas of the finance space. The color palette and typography were designed with both digital functionality and print media in mind. The brand’s identity easily flows from the online platform to printed collateral, promotional items, video content, and live events.
We expanded the core brand guidelines to include their website, motion graphics, event branding, and even interior design for their new corporate headquarters.
I was able to spearhead this project early in my career in a trial-by-fire fashion. I’m grateful for the experience to take on something of this caliber.
